Supplies

Gingerbread house Photo cut and paste printable craft mockupPin

Directions

Start by downloading the template and printing it out. Once the template is printed, gather the materials for this fun activity.

First, glue the outline of the door piece to the center of the house piece.

Next, glue the door to the door outline.

Draw the door knob on the right side of the door.

Color in the peppermint sticks and position them on both sides of the door and glue them in place.

Now, glue the roof on top of the gingerbread house.

Glue the window on both sides of the top portion of the door.

Glue the candy decoration above the door.

Next, help your child to glue the ground snow to the bottom of the house.

Place the roof snow to the top of the roof and glue it down.

Now, glue the chimney to the top and back portion of the snow.

Position the chimney snow to the top portion of the chimney and glue it in place.

Finally, encourage your child to glue the names along the roof snow.

Gingerbread House Name Craft

Practice name recognition in a festive way with the gingerbread house name craft!

Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Glue stick
  • Scissors
  • Markers
  • Gingerbread house template

Instructions

  • Download the gingerbread house template, print it, and cut out the pieces.
  • Begin by gluing the outline of the door piece to the bottom and center of the house piece.
  • Next, glue the door to the middle of the outline of the door piece.
  • Draw the door knob on the right side of the door.
  • Color in the peppermint sticks, position them beside the door, and glue them in place.
  • Now, glue the roof on top of the gingerbread house.
  • Glue the windows above and on both sides of the door.
  • Color in the candy decoration and glue it above the door.
  • Next, glue the ground snow to the bottom of the house.
  • Place the roof snow on top of the roof and glue it down.
  • Now, glue the chimney to the top and back of the roof snow.
  • Position the chimney snow on the top portion of the chimney and glue it in place.
  • Finish off by gluing the candy letters along the roof snow piece.
