I have a huge problem:
My 5-year-old loves to tell me jokes.
I’m serious. Dead serious.
He’s young and learning, but his jokes are painful and last 5 minutes a piece.
He doesn’t grasp the idea of a joke so instead, he asks me random questions that he thinks are jokes, tells me the answer and then laughs hysterically at himself.
The first time I chuckled. I even thought about writing it down to tell him when he was older. But then the jokes kept coming. Over and over and over again.
I finally told him we were taking a break from telling jokes.
If you have kids, you have to know what I’m talking about (right?! Please say yes!). Apparently, we all go through this annoying phase. My mom said I did. And I can vouch for my brothers.
Lucky for me my son’s jokes haven’t resurfaced in a while, but I’m still anxious any day now his inner jokester will rear its ugly head.
But this time, I’ll be prepared.
I’m giving him these free printable funny kids jokes so he can either memorize them (and have some real jokes) or just get a better idea how to tell a joke. Because he needs all the help he can get!
