Get kids to do this cute activity when you need something to keep them entertained and work on developmental skills. Tracing and cutting out their handprints helps improve fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.

Supplies
- Colored cardstock or construction paper
- Glue stick
- Scissors
- Marker
- Gnome template (unlock the template link at the end of the post)
Directions
Start by downloading the gnome template and printing it out. Once you have the template printed, gather the materials needed for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this gnome to life!
First, guide your child to glue both eyes to the center of the face.
Next, glue the circle nose in between and just below the eyes.
Now, position the gnome hat to the top portion of the head and glue it in place.
Trace your child’s hand two times on white paper and cut it out. Position the handprint with the fingers down and slightly overlap them with the thumbs in the middle. Glue them together.
Place the head on top of the hands and glue it in place. This is the gnome’s beard.
Draw a mouth below the nose.
Next, help your child glue the arms to the side of the body
Glue the shoes to the bottom portion of the body.
Finally, encourage your child to glue the head to the top portion of the body.
