Directions

Start by downloading and printing the template. Once the template is printed, gather the materials for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this eagle to life!

First, guide your child to print the template on white cardstock and cut out all the pieces. Trace your child’s hand onto brown paper two times and cut them out.

Next, glue the eyes to the head.

Place the beak on the right side of the eye, with about half of it hanging off the side and glue it in place.

Position the head to the top portion of the middle body and glue it in place.

Now, help your child to take the tail feathers and glue them to the back and bottom of the eagle’s body.

Glue the claws to the front and bottom of the bird’s body.

Finally, encourage your child to glue the wings to the back of each side of the eagle’s body, with the fingers pointed outward.

  • Glue stick
  • Scissors
  • Bald eagle template

Instructions

  • Download the eagle template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
  • Begin by tracing your child's hand onto brown paper two times and cut them out.
  • Next, glue the eyes to the head.
  • Place the beak on the right side of the eye, with about half of it hanging off the side and glue it in place.
  • Position the head to the top portion of the middle body and glue it in place.
  • Now, take the tail feathers and glue them to the back and bottom of the eagle's body.
