Killer Whale Headband Craft For Kids [Free Template]

Killer whales, or Orcas, are arguably the top apex predators in the ocean. They’re incredibly smart, powerful, and look cool too!

All of these characteristics (and more!) make them a favorite ocean animal for kids.

If your kids are learning about ocean animals, this killer whale headband craft is a fun activity to make!

This craft is super simple and comes with a printables template in 2 different versions. That means it’s great to make with young children in preschool and elementary.

Orca Headband Craft

Supplies

  • Black and white cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Tape
  • Crayons or markers (if using the color in version)
  • Killer whale template (enter your email in the form at the end of this post to have the link sent to you)

Directions

Download the killer whale template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.

Begin by gluing the mouth piece to the bottom of the headband base.

Position the eyes just above the mouth and glue them in place.

Next, take the eye spot and glue it just to the right of the eyes.

Use the tape to attach a headband extender on each side of the base.
