Reindeer Made From Simple Shapes

Read on below for our free reindeer shape template and step-by-step instructions. Grab a few supplies like colorful paper, scissors, and glue, and you’ll have everything you need for kids to make this cheerful reindeer come to life this Christmas!
Supplies
- Colored cardstock or construction paper
- Glue stick
- Scissors
- Reindeer template (unlock the image to go to the download page)
Directions
Start by downloading the template and printing it out. Once the template is printed, gather the materials for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring the reindeer to life!
First, guide your child to glue the lower half of a face to the bottom portion of the face. Trim off any excess paper from the head.
Next, glue the eyes below the eyebrows.
Place the nose below the eyes and glue it down.
Glue the cheeks beside the eyes.
Now, help your child to glue the head to the neck.
Position the Santa hat on top of the head and glue it in place.
Next, glue the ears to the back of the reindeer.
Glue the inner ears in the center of the ears.
Glue the hat pom to the top of the Santa hat.
If you’re using the two rectangles to make the antlers, glue the smaller rectangle at an angle to the larger rectangle, like in the picture below
Finally, encourage your child to glue the antlers to the sides and top of the reindeer’s head.

- Begin by gluing the lower half of a face to the bottom portion of the face.
- Next, glue the eyes below the eyebrows.
- Place the nose below the eyes and glue it down.
- Glue the cheeks beside the eyes.
- Now, glue the head to the neck.
- Position the Santa hat on top of the head and glue it in place.
- Next, glue the ears to the back and side of the reindeer's head.
- Glue the inner ears on the center of the outer ears.
- Glue the hat pom to the top of the Santa hat.
- Create the antlers by gluing the shorter rectangle at an angle to the larger rectangle. Alternatively, you can use the premade antlers. Finish off by gluing the antlers to the sides and back of the reindeer's head.
