Scarecrow Art Activity For Kids [Free Printable]

If fall has hit and blustery winds are too cold for outdoor play, try this scarecrow art activity.

This simple art project will keep kids busy, encourage their creativity, and improve fine motor skills.

Besides that, the project is low prep and doesn’t require any special supplies.

We’re even giving you the free printable so all you need to do is, print and start making art!

Kids Scarecrow Art

Supplies

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Paint
  • Unused pencil with eraser or q tips
  • Baby wipe
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Scarecrow printable (enter your email in the form at the end of this post to have the link sent to you)

Directions

Download the scarecrow printable and print it out on white cardstock.

Paint the scarecrow by dipping the eraser or a q tip into the paint, then dotting in all the areas you want to be painted that color. Repeat for all the colors, then let the scarecrow dry completely.

Cut out the scarecrow template with scissors.

Next, cut out a small, thin rectangle from brown paper to act as the scarecrow’s stake. Glue this towards the bottom of a piece of fall colored paper.

Finish off the art project by gluing the scarecrow to the stake.
