Stocking Card Craft For Kids [Free Template]

Christmas is quickly approaching, and so comes the last-minute gift buying. Don’t forget the stocking stuffers! The kids love discovering all the little gifts and candies hidden away in their own stockings.

Our stockings are hung and ready for Santa, so while we wait for him to arrive, let’s craft with the kids! This stocking card craft is great for kids of all ages to do. 

This card is so much fun to create and makes a thoughtful gift to give to family and friends. Kids can write their own holiday greetings inside the card themselves or with a little help from Mom and Dad.

This is a simple craft to create and only takes a few basic supplies you’ll have around the house. Our template makes putting this cute stocking together a cinch, and the kids will love decorating their stockings to show off their creativity.

Simple Stocking Card Craft

Supplies

  • Colored cardstock
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Markers
  • Puffy paint and glitter or glitter glue (optional)
  • Stickers (optional)
  • Stocking template (enter your email in the form at the end of this post to have the link sent to you)

Directions

Download the stocking template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.

Fold the stocking card base in half along the dashed line and cut it out, leaving the top part uncut.

Take the top fluff piece and glue it to the top of the card.

Next, take the toe patch and glue it to the toe region of the stocking.

Glue the heel patch to the heel portion of the stocking.

Use a marker to draw stitched lines along the heel and toe patches.

Use puffy paint and glitter or glitter glue to draw a decoration on the main portion of the card.

Open up the card and write a message inside!
