Preschoolers through 2nd graders can get creative this summer and imagine a ghost lounging in a flamingo pool float. It’ll take about 25 minutes for them to cut and assemble their project and give them practice using fine motor skills and following directions.

Halloween Craft with a Summer Twist
This Halloween summer craft has children create a friendly ghost relaxing in a flamingo pool floaty. The finished project will look adorable displayed on both classroom bulletin boards or refrigerators!
A summer afternoon is the ideal time to sit down and make this fun Summerween activity with kids. They’ll be able to strengthen fine motor skills through cutting and gluing the pieces while also practicing hand-eye coordination, focus, and creative thinking.

Supplies
- Colored cardstock or construction paper
- White cardstock
- Googly eyes
- Scissors

Directions
Start by printing the template, then gather the materials for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this summerween ghost to life!

Take the flamingo float piece and glue the orange beak onto the flamingo’s head. Kids will love seeing the bright pink flamingo start to take shape as the colorful pieces come together.

Glue the eye to the flamingo’s head, just above the beak.

Grab the ghost piece and glue it onto the center of the flamingo float. Position it so it looks like the ghost is relaxing inside the float, ready for a Summerween pool party.

Glue the light pink wing piece onto the center of the flamingo float, overlapping the bottom portion of the ghost.

Glue the entire flamingo float onto the blue water piece. Press it down firmly and watch the scene come together as the ghost starts floating on the water.

This cute craft is the perfect boredom buster for summer vacation. Kids will have fun creating their ghost pool float and showing off the finished project when they’re done.

Instructions
- Print the template and gather the materials for this fun activity.
- Begin by gluing the beak onto the flamingo’s head.
- Glue the googly eye onto the flamingo’s head, above the beak.
- Look for the ghost piece and glue it onto the center of the flamingo float.
- Glue the wing piece onto the flamingo float so it overlaps the lower part of the ghost.
- Finally, glue the completed flamingo float onto the water piece.
