Supplies
- Toilet paper roll
- Markers
- Colored cardstock or construction paper
- Glue
- Scissors
- Kangaroo template (unlock the free template link at the end of the post)
Directions
Start by downloading the kangaroo template and printing it out. Once you have the template printed, gather the materials needed for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this kangaroo to life!
First, encourage your child to glue the belly to the bottom and center of the body.
Place the tape along one end of the kangaroo’s body, then tape it to the toilet paper roll.
Take the other side of the body and place another strip of tape on it.
Wrap it around the cardboard tube and tape it in place.
Position the eyes below the eyebrows and glue them in place.
Now, guide your child to draw the inner ears to the center of the ears.
Next, help your child glue the arms to the sides of the belly.
Fold the legs over, place glue on that part, and glue the feet to the sides of the body.
Now, fold the tail’s end over, place glue on the folded portion, and glue it to the side of the kangaroo’s body.
Finally, glue the head to the top portion of the body.

Instructions
- Download the kangaroo template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
- Begin by gluing the belly to the bottom and center of the background paper.
- Place the tape along one end of the kangaroo’s body, then tape it to the toilet paper roll.
- Take the other side of the body and place another strip of tape on it.
- Wrap it around the cardboard tube and tape it in place.
- Position the eyes below the eyebrows and glue them in place.
