Every little boy dreams of being a superhero.
The excitement of the chase, the thrill of saving the innocent, and the awe of the crowd. Who wouldn’t want all that?
Remember Miles and his dream? His wish was to become Batkid and the Make A Wish Foundation created an epic and elaborate plan to grant him this childhood dream.
If you haven’t seen the video take a second to watch it below and be prepared to tear up. Miles is adorable and it’s all too easy to imagine your own child in his shoes.
Miles is a fighter. He beat the odds. He became a superhero.
Now your baby boy can do the same. He can have a place to dream, to imagine, and to create lifelong memories in this retro superhero nursery.
I imagined this nursery being cozy and yet still having elements of a big city peppered throughout. The black pendant light, the cityscape wall art, the bicycle bookends and the wire basket all bring the industrial feel to the nursery.
To counteract the industrial elements I used a wooden crib, a white dresser, a wood side table and a knitted pouf to bring warmth and coziness to this space.
The Captain America print, Batkid print and the Superman logo all add the necessary superhero theme to the room in a whimsical and youthful way. I played on the black color palette by adding the gray moon clock and the black and white pennant, reminding your little one to always do their best.
Finally, I brought in a pop of vivid yellow through the swiss cross pillows, which bring out the Taxicab yellow in the NYC print.
This superhero nursery is a dream room that your boy will love through all his childhood years!
