Cactus Valentine Craft

Directions

Start by downloading and printing the template. Once the template is printed, gather the materials for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this cactus to life!

First, guide your child to glue the mouth in the center of the cactus. Then, glue the tongue to the bottom of the mouth.

Next, help your child to glue the eyes above the mouth.

Position the cheeks below the eyes and glue them in place.

Glue the pot to the bottom portion of the cactus.

Optionally, draw the eyelashes on the outsides of the eyes.

Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Glue stick
  • Scissors
  • Markers
  • Cactus template

Instructions

  1. Download the cactus template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
  2. Begin by gluing the mouth in the center of the cactus.
  3. Place the tongue on the bottom of the mouth and glue in place.
  4. Next, glue the eyes above the mouth.
  5. Position the cheeks below the eyes and glue them in place.
  6. Glue the pot to the bottom portion of the cactus.
  7. Optionally, draw the eyelashes on outside of both eyes.
  8. Finish off by gluing the heart flowers around the body of the cactus.
