Cactus Valentine Craft
Your little ones will be so proud to give this Valentine they’ve made themselves to a friend, teacher, or family member. And since they’re cutting, gluing, and following instructions to make this cute cactus, they’re also working on some important skills!
Making this Valentine is both simple and budget friendly, since all you need to get started are a few basic supplies and our free cactus template. The step-by-step process is easy enough for kids of all ages to follow while letting their creativity shine.
Supplies
- Colored cardstock or construction paper
- Glue stick
- Scissors
- Markers
- Cactus template (unlock the image at the end of the post to go to the download page)

Directions
Start by downloading and printing the template. Once the template is printed, gather the materials for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this cactus to life!

First, guide your child to glue the mouth in the center of the cactus. Then, glue the tongue to the bottom of the mouth.

Next, help your child to glue the eyes above the mouth.

Position the cheeks below the eyes and glue them in place.

Glue the pot to the bottom portion of the cactus.

Optionally, draw the eyelashes on the outsides of the eyes.

Finally, encourage your child to glue the heart flowers around the body of the cactus.
