Directions
Start by printing the template and gathering your materials for this fun activity. Let kids color in the Easter eggs to make them their own, then get those scissors ready and bring this chick Easter basket to life!

Find the head piece and lay it on the table. Help your child glue the eye pieces near the top middle of the face, just below the eyebrows.

Glue the beak in the center of the chick’s face, below the eyes.

Using a marker, let your child color in the cheeks. A little coloring adds so much charm, and kids usually love seeing the chick go from plain to bright and cheerful.

Take the grass piece and glue it to the bottom front of the chick’s head.

Take the colored Easter egg pieces and glue them under each side of the chick, so they peek out from the grass. Kids usually get excited here because it starts to look like a real Easter basket!

Glue the basket piece at the bottom of the grass so the chick, grass, and eggs peek out from the top. Suddenly, all the separate pieces turn into an actual basket craft!

Look for the handle piece and glue each end to the sides of the basket. This simple step makes the craft feel complete and gives it that classic Easter basket look kids will recognize right away.

Finish by gluing the wings to the top edge of the basket, just under the chick. Place one wing on each side so it looks like the chick is peeking over the basket. This final step really brings the whole craft to life!

And just like that, this activity is complete! This is such a fun moment to hold it up and admire how cute it looks. Crafts like this are a great way to build fine motor skills, encourage creativity, and create special holiday memories together.
