Directions
Start by downloading and printing the template. Once the template is printed, gather the materials for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this goofy scarecrow to life!

Grab the head piece and glue the tongue at the bottom curve of the smile. This gives your scarecrow its playful, goofy expression.

Take the orange triangle nose and glue it above the mouth, right at the center of the face.

Glue the eyes above the nose. It’s okay if the pupils are uneven or looking in different directions. That silly look is what makes the scarecrow fun and goofy!

Now it’s time to dress up our scarecrow! Glue the brown hat right on top of the head, slightly covering the upper edge of the eyes.

Glue the green patch onto the square area on the hat. This adds that classic scarecrow style.

Use a black marker to draw short vertical and horizontal lines on the patch. These little stitch marks really give the scarecrow a handmade, rustic charm.

Glue the yellow straw hair pieces behind the head, one on each side under the hat.

Now that the head is done, it’s time to start building the scarecrow’s body. Grab the shirt and the two yellow straw hands, gluing each to the back and end of the sleeves.

Next, take the yellow straw trim and glue it to the bottom edge of the shirt.

Glue the two red patches onto the front of the shirt. Your kid can place them anywhere they like!

Use a black marker to draw small lines on each patch.

Take the brown stick piece and glue it to the bottom back of the shirt. This acts as the scarecrow’s post and brings everything together.

Now for the final step! Glue the scarecrow’s head on top of the shirt. Line it up so it looks centered.
