Directions

Start by downloading the template and printing it out. Once the template is printed, gather the materials for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this Grinch to life!

First, trace your child’s hand on a piece of light green cardstock and cut it out.

Assemble the Grinch by using the glue stick to attach the body to the bottom of your child’s handprint.

Next, encourage your child to glue the feet to the bottom of the Grinch’s body.

Secure the arms on either side of the Grinch’s body.

Now, help your child to glue the scarf to the Grinch’s neck, just beneath the handprint.

Place the eyebrows towards the top of the palm and glue them in place.

Glue the googly eyes or make the eyes with colored paper and glue them into place beneath the eyebrows.

Make a nose for the Grinch by cutting out a circle from the dark green card stock or use a green pom pom and glue it into place.

Finally, guide your child to draw a simple smile beneath the nose.

Grinch Handprint Craft For Kids

Make this easy Grinch handprint craft with your kids or students this Christmas!

Equipment

  • Scissors

Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Hole punch standard, .5″ & 1″ or large googly eyes
  • Green pom pom optional
  • Glue stick
  • Black marker
  • Grinch template

Instructions

  • Download the Grinch template, print it, and cut out the pieces.
  • Begin by tracing your child's hand on a piece of light green cardstock and cut it out.
  • Assemble the Grinch using the glue stick to attach the body to the bottom of your child's handprint.
  • Next, glue the feet to the bottom of the Grinch's body.
  • Secure the arms on either side of the Grinch's body.
  • Now, glue the scarf to the Grinch's neck, just beneath the handprint.
  • Place the eyebrows towards the top of the palm and glue in place.
  • Glue the googly eyes or make the eyes with colored paper and glue them into place beneath the eyebrows.
