Toilet Paper Roll Santa Claus

Because this craft uses common household supplies and a recycled toilet paper roll, it’s cheap and fun to make!
Supplies
- Toilet paper roll
- White cardstock or paper
- Cotton balls
- Scissors
- Glue stick
- Tape (optional)
- Crayons or markers (if you print the black and white version)
- Santa template (enter your email in the form at the end of this post to have the link sent to you)
Directions
Download the Santa Claus template, print and cut out.
Flip the Santa template over and place glue on the entire backside or use tape. Wrap the template around the toilet paper roll and secure it.
Take a cotton ball and fluff it out into smaller pieces. Use the glue to place glue all around Santa’s face. This is where his beard will be. Place the smaller pieces of cotton balls all around the glue and secure them in place.
Attach the hat to the top of the paper roll and tape in place or use glue to secure it.
Finish Santa’s hat by placing glue all along the bottom of the hat. Place more cotton ball fluff along the bottom and at the tip of the hat.

Paper Roll Santa Notes
This craft is very simple, but there are a few tips that can make it even easier!
Inside our free printable Santa craft template, we have 2 versions of this craft. The first one is full color and the second is a black and white version.
The black and white version will obviously save your ink, but it also allows this craft to take up more time since the kids get to color in their Santa before making it.

You might wonder which paper is best to use with each version of the template.
We’ve tried plain ol’ printer paper, white cardstock, art paper, and more and we’ve come to realize it depends on what you’re looking for.
If you’re going to print the template off in full color, we think smooth, white card stock is your best option. It looks the best when printed, but since it’s thicker it does make it trickier to glue to the toilet paper roll.
If you choose to print on white card stock, we recommend taping the card stock to the toilet paper roll instead of gluing. It’s faster, easier, and won’t fall off over time.

What if you’re going to print the black and white version? Well, then there are two options for you. Go with plain white printer paper or a mid-weight art paper.
You’ll get the best color from your crayons or markers with the art paper since it has a slight tooth (roughness) to it, but plain paper works too!
