Crayon Paper Bag Puppet Craft For Kids [Free Template]

As young kids all over the country head back to school, there’s one thing on all of their minds: fun!

And what better way to celebrate the beginning of a new school year than with a fun and easy craft project?

This crayon paper bag puppet is perfect for kids of all ages and can be easily made with just a few supplies.

It’s not only super cute, but it’s also great for pretend play. Kids can use their imaginations to bring their puppets to life and tell all sorts of stories.

Crayon Puppet Craft

Supplies

  • Brown paper bag
  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick
  • Crayon template (enter your email in the form at the end of this post to have the link sent to you)

Directions

Download the crayon template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.

Take the top of the crayon wrapper and glue it to the top of the crayon. Next, take one of the black strips and glue it near the bottom of the wrapper.

Create the mouth by gluing the tongue to the mouth. Trim off any excess paper that hangs off.

Place the mouth in the middle of the crayon top and glue it on top of the black strip.

Next, glue the eyes in the middle of the crayon top, just above the mouth.

Position the cheeks on either side of the mouth and glue them in place.

Take the bottom of the crayon wrapper and glue it to the main piece of the brown bag.

Place the bottom of the crayon on the bottom of the wrapper and glue it in place. Glue the 2nd black strip just above the bottom of the crayon piece.

Glue the label in the middle of the crayon wrapper, above the 2nd black strip.

Finish up by gluing the top of the crayon to the flap portion of the brown paper bag.

If you're not able to see it, it most likely means you have a firewall or adblocker blocking it from appearing. If you can allow the page or try from a personal device, you should be able to see it. Also, you can open it in an incognito window to see it as well.
