Supplies
- Colored cardstock or construction paper
- Glue stick
- Scissors
- Groundhog template (click the “click here to get your freebies” image at the end of the post)

Directions
Start by printing the template. Once the template is printed, gather the materials for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this groundhog to life!

First, encourage your child to glue the belly to the center of the body.

Next, glue the arms on each side of the belly.

Glue the face to the lower part of the head.

Position the eyes below the eyebrows and glue them in place.

Now, help your child to glue the cheeks below the eyes.

Place the inner ears in the middle of the outer ears and glue them down.

Next, glue the shadow to the back and right of the groundhog.

Finally, guide your child to glue the grass to the front and bottom portion of the groundhog.

Materials

Instructions
- Print the template and cut out the pieces you need.
- Begin by gluing the belly in the center of the body.
- Next, glue the arms on both sides of the top of the belly.
- Glue the face to the lower part of the head.
- Color in the eyes, then glue them below the eyebrows.
