Directions
Start by downloading and printing the template. Once the template is printed, gather the materials for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this haunted house to life!

Begin by folding down the open top of the paper bag. This step gives your haunted house its base shape.

Next, take the roof piece and glue it to the top of your paper bag.

Grab the door outline and glue it near the bottom of the paper bag.

Then glue the black door piece on top of the outline to create a spooky doorway for your haunted house. Optionally, take a small pom pom and glue it to the door, so it looks like the handle.

Let’s give your haunted house some spooky charm! Glue the pumpkin piece right next to the door.

Let your child use a brown marker to draw a stem on top of the pumpkin. This little detail brings the pumpkin to life.

Now, take the ‘please come in’ sign and glue it on the other side of the door.

Look for the window pieces with the little ghosts peeking out and glue one on each side of the paper bag, just below the roof.

Glue the window sills right to the bottom of each window piece. It adds a nice finishing touch to your haunted house.

Using a black marker, draw a spiderweb on the side of your haunted house for more Halloween flair.

Now for the ghosts! Take the ghost pieces and glue them onto the house. One can float over the roof, and another can hover near the door, creating a truly haunted scene.

Time to add the chimney! Glue it to the top and back of the roof, for that spooky, crooked-house vibe.

Add the top of the chimney piece right above the chimney. It’s a simple step that makes the house look complete.

Stuff a bit of crumpled paper inside the bag so your haunted house stands up nicely when you put it on display.

Finally, seal the folded top of the paper bag with a piece of tape. This keeps everything in place and finishes off your haunted house craft.

What a fun haunted house craft! Your kids will love showing off their spooky creation. While you’re here, be sure to check out more of our Halloween paper bag crafts for even more creative fun.
