Valentines Hedgehog Craft
This adorable hedgehog Valentine craft is a fun and creative way to celebrate love with preschoolers, kindergarten, & elementary aged children. Using simple materials like paper hearts and googly eyes, kids can create their very own spiky, lovable hedgehog.
It’s a perfect craft for teaching kids about kindness and creativity while making a sweet keepsake for Valentine’s Day!
Supplies
- Colored cardstock or construction paper
- Scissors
- Glue stick

Directions
Start by downloading and printing the template. Once the template is printed, gather the materials for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this hedgehog to life!

First, guide your child to glue the hedgehog’s body to the middle of the quills.

Next, take the eyes and glue them in the middle of the body, just beneath the ears.

Place the nose and mouth just below the eyes and glue them in place.

Glue the belly to the middle of the body, underneath the mouth.

Now, help your child to place the heart shape in the middle of the belly. Glue it in place.

Finally, encourage your child to glue the arms, one on each side to the body so they are holding the heart.

Hedgehog Valentine Craft For Kids
Materials
- Colored cardstock or construction paper
- Scissors
- Glue stick

Instructions
- Download the hedgehog template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
- Begin to create the hedgehog by gluing the body to the middle of the quills.
- Next, take the eyes and glue them in the middle of the body, just beneath the ears.

I "simply" love (hehehe) all your crafts, but it would be so helpful if there was a pic included in the template file of the completed project - even just in B&W. I open your templates years later (yes I'm a long time follower) and I forget what they look like lol! Thanks for sharing your creativity...and for free so often!!! That fits a teacher's budget!
