Cute Monkey Craft For Kids [Free Template]

It’s no secret kids love animals, especially monkeys. They’re silly, they’re acrobatic and they’re just so darn cute!

We’ve made lots of animal crafts over the last few years, like sheep crafts, pig crafts, unicorns crafts, and more. Since we’ve never made a monkey, we decided to share this simple monkey craft for kids.

You can use it as a fun craft when learning the letter ‘M’, when you talk about zoo animals or even the jungle! Or make it to give to Mom or Dad on Mother’s Day or Father’s Day!

Monkey Craft For Kids

Supplies

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Glue stick
  • Scissors
  • Pink marker
  • Monkey template (download form located at the end of this post, just above the comments)

Directions

Download the monkey template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.

Fold the card base in half along the dashed line, then cut out along it, leaving the top intact.

Take the face piece and glue it to the middle and front of the monkey’s head.

Next, glue the eyes above the nose on both sides of the face.

Place the inner ears in the middle of the outer ears and glue them in place. Use a pink marker to draw the cheeks on either side of the nose.

Begin to create the main body by gluing the belly to the middle of the body piece.

Next, take the feet and glue them to the bottom and back of the body piece.

Finish the body by gluing the tail to the back and side of the body.

Take the head card base and glue it to the front and top of the monkey’s body.
