It’s Christmastime and we’re so excited for all the extra time together as a family!
Build some great memories with the kids when you make this paper plate gingerbread man craft.
We love Christmas crafts for kids and this one may be one of our easiest ones to make!
You can let the kids paint, cut, and glue their own gingerbread boy or girl craft or use a brown party plate to skip the painting part.
This craft is ideal for preschoolers, pre-k, and kindergarten-aged children at home (or in the classroom).
Make sure you download the free template by entering your email in the form at the end of this page. It will make it super simple to create your own gingerbread man!

Gingerbread Man Craft For Kids

- Brown paint
- Black marker
- Glue stick
- Scissors
- Gingerbread template (enter your email in the form at the end of this post to get the link)
Directions
Download the gingerbread template, print, and cut out the pieces you need to make the craft.

Paint the paper plate in 1-2 thin coats of brown paint. If you want to skip this step, use brown party plates instead.

Place the icing hair at the top of the paper plate and glue into place. Make sure you use enough glue on the ridges to make it stick.

Glue the eyes just beneath the hair, then take the cheeks and glue below the eyes on both sides.

To make a boy gingerbread, glue the bow tie at the bottom of the paper plate. To make a girl gingerbread, glue the bow on her hair.

Draw a smile between the two cheeks with the black marker.

That’s it!
It’s a simple Christmas craft that’s great for young children to make!
