Cut out the small pieces, but not the face.

To make Pikachu’s face into a card fold a piece of yellow card stock in half “hot dog” style. Put the Pikachu head template on the yellow paper with the flat part of his head along the fold line.

Trace and cut out the head, leave the fold line intact. This is the card part of the craft.

Next, make Pikachu’s ears by gluing the black ear tip to the top of his yellow ears. Cut off the excess paper.

Place the completed ears at the top of Pikachu’s head and glue along the backside. We placed his ears right on the corners of his head.

Place the two heart eyes where his eyes would go. Use scissors or a hole punch (a hole punch is much easier) to cut two circles out of the white card stock and glue in place along the left side of each heart.

Make Pikachu’s mouth by gluing the pink tongue to the bottom of the dark red mouth. Trim off any paper that extends off the mouth.

Take the finished mouth and glue it just below Pikachu’s eyes, in the middle of the card.

Put each of the red cheeks on either side of the mouth and glue in place.

Use the black marker to draw on a tiny nose above his mouth. Pikachu’s nose is ultra tiny so you can skip this if you don’t want to bother with it.

Open the card and write a fun message! If you’re a Pokemon nerd (which you probably are if you’re here), write something like, “I choose you to be my Valentine”!

Pikachu Valentine’s Day Card Notes

We created this card in mind to use with Valentine’s Day, but you could just as easily use it for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, or any other occasion you can think of!

If you don’t want the heart eyes, you can quickly swap them out for Pikachu’s standard black eyes. Simply cut out a small circle from black cardstock and glue a smaller white circle to the top. Now you can use this card idea whenever you want!

We also want to remind you that if you don’t need a card, then you can just make this a Pikachu craft. Instead of tracing Pikachu’s head on a folded piece of paper, just trace it on a flat one. Easy peasy!
