Printable Gingerbread Man Craft For Kids [Free Template]

Christmas is a time for kids of all ages to get excited about the holiday.

Whether kids are looking forward to the presents, decorating their homes with Santas, or just eager to spend time with loved ones, this season has something for everyone!

One craft that kids can do this year is make this printable gingerbread man craft! You may have seen these adorable little guys in your local bakery or grocery store around Christmas time but now you can make them from paper at home too!

This activity will not only help kids practice fine motor skills but also gives kids an opportunity to use their creativity by coloring or painting the gingerbread man before cutting him out.

Build A Gingerbread Man

Supplies

  • Colored cardstock
  • White cardstock or art paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick
  • Paint, crayons, or markers (if using the color in version)
  • Gingerbread man template (enter your email in the form at the end of this post to have the link sent to you)

Directions

Download the gingerbread man template and print it out. If your child is using the color in version, let them paint or color it. Let it dry before moving on. Cut out all the pieces.

Create the gingerbread man by gluing the eyes to the middle of the head, just above the mouth.

Take the icing hair and glue it to the top of the gingerbread man’s head. Trim off any paper that hangs off the side.

Next, glue the overalls to the body of the gingerbread man.

Position the buttons just below the straps on the overalls and glue them down.

Place the bow on the side of the gingerbread man’s hair and glue it in place or make it a bowtie and glue it on the neck.

Finish off the gingerbread man by gluing the icing decorations near the end of the arms and legs.
