- Scarecrow headband template (click the “click here to get your freebies” image at the end of the post)
Directions
Start by downloading the template and printing it out. Once the template is printed, gather the materials for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this scarecrow to life!

First, guide your child to glue the cheeks just above the smile line.

Glue the triangle nose in between the two cheeks.

Position the eyes just above the cheeks and on either side of the nose, and glue them in place.

Next, help your child assemble the scarecrow’s hat by gluing three pieces of straw hair together, like in the picture. Glue these hair clumps onto the back and side of the scarecrow’s hat.

Take the completed scarecrow hat and glue it just above his eyes.

Cut a few thinner hair pieces for the top of the hat, then glue them together like in the picture. Glue this to the top and back of the scarecrow’s hat.

Finally, encourage your child to use the tape or staples to secure a headband extender on each side of the headband base.
