It’s nearly St. Patty’s Day!!! How does your family like to celebrate? You know we love crafts, so of course, we think crafting should be included in the celebrations!
This shamrock leprechaun craft is a cute St. Patrick’s Day craft that’s simple and quick to make. Just download the free printable template, gather your crafting supplies, and get started!
This activity is easy enough to make it with preschool, kindergarten, and elementary children. Besides being fun to make, it’ll also help kids learn to focus, improve their scissor skills, and follow directions.

Easy St. Patrick’s Day Craft

Supplies
- Colored cardstock or construction paper
- Scissors
- Glue
- .5″ circle punch (optional)
- Shamrock template (enter your email in the form at the end of this post to have the link sent to you)
Directions
Download the shamrock template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.

Glue the eyes in the middle of the shamrock, just above the midpoint of the body.

Use the circle punch (or scissors) to cut out a dark green nose for the shamrock. Glue it in between and slightly overlapping the bottom of the eyes.

Create the leprechaun hat by gluing the black band to the middle of the hat.

Place the yellow buckle in the middle of the black band, then glue the black inner buckle in the middle of the yellow buckle.


Glue the leprechaun hat to the top of the shamrock’s leaf.

Materials
- Colored cardstock or construction paper

- Shamrock template
Instructions
- Download the shamrock template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
- Glue the eyes just above the mouth, in the middle of the shamrock.
- Position the nose in between and slightly on top of the bottom of the eyes and glue in place.
- Assemble the leprechaun hat by gluing the black band to the hat.
- Next, place the yellow buckle in the middle of the black band.
- Finish the hat by gluing the black inner buckle in the middle of the yellow buckle. Trim off any paper that hangs off the sides.
- Place the hat on the top of the shamrock and glue it in place.
