Sheep Craft Notes

One thing we would suggest that’s different from our directions above is to color in the sheep’s feet and ears before cutting them out.

We didn’t do this (as evident by the video), but little hands may have a harder time holding the small pieces still while coloring them in.

Also, if you need to simplify this craft, we have a few ideas for you:

  • Leave off the little puffs that go on top of the legs. These are cute, but certainly not necessary.
  • Skip coloring in the inner ears or just skip the ears all together!
  • If you really need to pare this craft down, just make the head. Leaving the body off will help you cut down on a lot of cutting and gluing smaller pieces together.

Farm Animal Theme

We think if you had fun making this craft, you’d also love this handprint bunny craft.

Both this sheep craft and the handprint bunny are great if you’re doing a farm animal theme unit study, whether at home or in the classroom.
