Directions
Start by printing the template, then gather the materials for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this sun to life!

Find the eye pieces and glue them onto the yellow sun, below the eyebrows and above the smile.

Grab the pink cheek pieces and glue one onto each side of the smile, below the eyes. These little cheeks make the sun look extra sweet and ready to celebrate graduation day.

Now take the orange sun rays piece. Carefully cut along the slits around the edge of the circle. This simple step creates the fun 3D rays that make the craft really stand out.

Once the rays are ready, glue the yellow sun piece right in the center of the orange sun rays.

Fold each orange sun ray upward one at a time. Kids will love watching their flat paper sun start to pop off the page.

Glue the graduation cap piece to the top of the sun’s head. You can talk with kids about all the exciting things they’ve learned this year and how proud they should feel.

Take the tassel piece and glue it onto the side of the cap. This little detail makes the graduation cap look complete and adds an extra special touch to the craft.

Finally, glue the completed sun onto the background page that says “My Future Is Bright” and “Kindergarten Graduate.”

Display the finished craft on a bulletin board, classroom wall, or refrigerator so kids can proudly show off their sunny graduation masterpiece!

Making this happy sun graduation craft gives kids the chance to practice important early learning skills like cutting, folding, and assembling while celebrating an exciting milestone.
