Yarn Penguin Craft For Kids [Free Template]

Make A Penguin Craft

Supplies

Directions

Download the penguin template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.

Use the template to trace the penguin’s body onto the thin cardboard. Use scissors to cut it out. Paint it black and let dry completely before moving on.

Tape one end of the yarn to the back of the penguin. Wrap the yarn around as many times as you’d like. When you’re finished tape the end piece of the yarn to the back of the body. If there’s no cardboard space to tape it to, just tie the end to another portion of the wrapped yarn.

Take the eyes and glue them to the top part of the penguin’s body.

Next, glue the beak in between the eyes.

Place the arms on the sides of the penguin and glue them, angled inward.

Attach the completed penguin body to the thin cardboard by gluing it to the top of the yarn.

Finish up by gluing the feet to the back and bottom of the penguin’s body.

Instructions

  1. Download the penguin template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
  2. Use the template to trace the penguin's body onto the thin cardboard. Use scissors to cut it out. Paint it black and let dry completely before moving on.
  3. Tape one end of the yarn to the back of the penguin. Wrap the yarn around as many times as you’d like. When you’re finished tape the end piece of the yarn to the back of the body. If there’s no cardboard space to tape it to, just tie the end to another portion of the wrapped yarn.
