Directions
Start by downloading and printing the template. Once the template is printed, gather the materials for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this apple basket to life!

Pick an apple piece and help your child glue on the eyes near the top center. Let them choose the expression they like most; it’s part of the fun!

Time to top it off! Glue a brown stem to the back of each apple to complete their look.

Once you’ve finished one apple, go ahead and do the same for the others! Glue the eyes and stem to each apple using the expressions your child loves best. This is a great time to talk about how each apple has its own personality!

Let’s start filling the basket! Take one of your finished apples and glue it right in the center of the basket. Press it down gently to make sure it sticks well.

Next, take your second apple and glue it just slightly behind and to the side of the first one.

Now take your third apple and glue it behind the green apple on the left. Let it peek out just enough to help balance the basket. Press it down gently to secure it.

Finally, glue the last apple behind the green one, right in the middle. Let it peek out from the top so all three apples are visible in the basket. Press it down gently to finish this step.

Don’t you just love how this adorable apple basket turned out? We think your kids will love creating it! While you’re here, be sure to check out some of our other favorite fall crafts for more hands-on fun.
