Halloween Bat Hat Craft

It’s a great way to channel their Halloween excitement while giving them a chance to work on fine motor skills through cutting, gluing, and assembling. Plus, wearing their new headband will make them feel extra proud of their batty creation!

Supplies
- Colored cardstock or construction paper
- Glue stick
- Scissors
- Tape
- Bat template (unlock the free template at the end of the post)
Directions
Start by downloading the template and printing it out. Once the template is printed, gather the materials for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this bat to life!

First, encourage your child to glue the inner ears in the middle of the outer ears.

Next, glue the eyes to the center of the headband.

Place the nose below the eyes and glue it in place.

Now, help your child to glue the mouth below the nose.

Tape the extenders on both sides of the headband base.

Finally, fold over the end of the bat’s wing, then guide your child to tape the wings on both sides of the headband.
