Kids love the arrival of spring since they are able to play outside more and explore! While they’re exploring, they may find something to inspire their next craft like the bees buzzing from bloom to bloom.
The busy bees inspired our bee name craft. This is a fun way for kids to learn more about bees and practice spelling their names! The bees have gathered up the honeycomb to spell your child’s name.
This name craft will help kids with letter recognition as they learn to spell their names. It’ll also give kids a chance to work on their scissor skills when they cut out each piece and their fine motor skills as they assemble the pieces to reveal their buzzing bee.
To make this craft easy for you to prepare, we’ve included a printable template. What’s cool about this template is that you can edit it to spell out each child’s unique name. If you prefer, you can leave the honeycomb pieces blank, and kids can practice writing their names.
Your little bees will be buzzing with excitement to do some more cool spring crafts once they’ve finished this cute bee craft. Save the ones your kiddos will love to do this spring.

Spring Ideas For Kids
Keep your kids or students occupied and learning with some fun and creative crafts and activities! We have lots of ideas for spring projects that your kiddos will have a blast doing.
Keep reading below for some of our favorite ideas for spring.
Spring Books For Kids
Reading books to young children is an extremely powerful and beneficial activity for their early development. It can provide stimulating and engaging visuals, and kids can learn about the world, get inspired by characters, and explore exotic places from their imaginations.
Reading also fosters language skills; hearing words spoken out loud increases focus on pronunciation and encourages a wider vocabulary for talking about new concepts. Below are some of our favorite spring books for kids.
Too Many Carrots: This adorable book about a rabbit with way too many carrots will have your kids giggling! When he loads on too many that he can’t even go in his house, he’s on the hunt for somewhere to live. Read what happens as his friends try to help. This book is cute and has a great message of sharing!
Pete The Cat and the Cool Caterpillar: Pete’s new friend is a caterpillar! But when his best buddy goes missing, Pete has to find out what happened to him. He soon realizes he’s going to need a lot of patience to discover what exactly happened to his caterpillar!
I Don’t Want To Be A Frog: Little frog wants to be anything but, you guessed it, a frog. He tries his hand at being a cat, rabbit, pig, and owl, but he just can’t manage to be like them. All along the way, his dad encourages him to just be a frog, but it’s not until he has a surprise run-in with a wolf that he rethinks what it means to be a frog.
Spring Crafts For Kids
It’s no secret that crafting is one of our favorite ways for kids to learn! They’re able to use their imaginations and creativity to create something with their own two hands.
As they are crafting, they’re using their fine motor skills and focus to carefully cut, glue, or color pieces of the craft. Add in some of our cute and fun spring crafts we’ve highlighted below:
Handprint Ladybug Craft – Have kids personalize their lucky ladybugs with their own handprints! This cute and creative craft will be a hit with kids of all ages as they create this bug from a handful of supplies and their own hands.
Paper Bag Butterfly Craft – We love when a craft transforms an ordinary item like a paper bag into something fun for the kids! They can totally customize their own butterflies with their favorite colors. They’ll use their big imaginations when they pretend with their completed butterfly puppet.
Chick Paper Bag Puppet Craft – Another puppet for your kids to add to their spring puppet show is this adorable chick. It’s quick and easy for kids to make, and a great way for them to have fun playing pretend and using their imaginations.
Earth Paper Craft – Use this Earth craft for kids to learn more about the planet we live on in our solar system, or to celebrate Earth Day! This fun paper craft comes together really easily and kids love its bendy arms and legs!
