Clown Gingerbread Man Disguise

This Clown Gingerbread Man Disguise Craft lets kids turn a gingerbread man into a silly clown with a fun costume to help him stay safe from the cookie jar.

Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • White Paint Pen or Crayola Bold & Bright marker
  • Tape
  • Pipe Cleaner
  • Pom Poms
  • Clown Gingerbread Man Disguise Template

Instructions

  • Download the template, print it, and cut out the pieces you need.
  • Begin by gluing the eyes under both eyebrows.
  • Position the mouth slightly below the eyes and glue it in place.
  • Glue the nose just below the eyes, so it's covering a small amount of the eyes.
  • Line up the shorts with the bottom of the body and glue them down.
  • Place the shirt on the upper part of the body, and glue it in place.
  • Add the suspenders by gluing one on each side of the shirt.
  • Glue the bowtie under the mouth.
  • Optionally, place the pom-poms down the center of the shirt and glue them in place.
  • Glue both hair pieces onto the back and sides of the gingerbread man's head.
  • Set the hat on top of the head and glue it down.
  • Draw icing-style squiggles along the arms and legs using a paint pen or marker.
  • Cut a pipe cleaner to a length of about 3-4 inches. Tape one end of the pipe cleaner to the back of the balloon.
  • Lastly, glue the balloon onto the gingerbread man’s hand to complete the disguise.
