Directions
Start by printing the template. Once the template is printed, gather the materials for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this flamingo to life!

Find the flamingo body piece and glue the eyes onto the head, just below the eyebrows.

Next up is the beak. Help your child glue it under the eyes. That sweet flamingo smile is starting to shine through!

Now it’s time for the Valentine message! Let your child choose one of the heart pieces. Then, glue it onto the front of the body so it looks like the flamingo is hugging it.

After that, look for the larger wing piece. Glue it over the edge of the heart so it looks like one wing is wrapped around it. Your flamingo is really coming together now!

Grab the smaller wing or hand piece. Glue it on the opposite side of the heart so it looks like the flamingo is holding the Valentine with both wings.

Lastly, find the two leg pieces. Glue them at the bottom of the body so the flamingo looks like it’s sitting with its feet out front. One leg will be glued to the front and under the left wing. The other leg will be glued to the back and right side of the flamingo’s body.

This idea is such a fun and simple way for kids to share a little love while practicing fine motor skills. While you’re here, be sure to check out our other Valentine’s Day crafts for parents that are perfect for the classroom!
