Free Printable Beach Scavenger Hunt For Kids

Inside: Spice up your trip to the beach with this free printable beach scavenger hunt game for kids. Plus see all our fun ocean kids activities here.

If you’re following along in our summer camp at home series, you’ll know we’ve been talking all about the ocean!

Summertime is the perfect time to learn about the ocean ecosystem and all the animals that live there.

Within the last week, we’ve learned about the ocean zones for kids, read our favorite kids books about ocean animals, did an awesome hands-on ocean pollution activity, played in a frozen ocean sensory bin, created a cute handprint fish keepsake, made a fun ocean theme preschool sensory bin, and made a paper plate seahorse craft.

Today, we’re shifting gears a little and encouraging you and your little ones to get outside and go to the beach.

Since we’re in Arizona, we can’t make it to the beach whenever we want, but if you can, you’ll love this free printable beach scavenger hunt.

Beach Scavenger Hunt Ideas For Kids

Free Printable Beach Scavenger Hunt For Kids | Print this out and bring it with you to your next beach trip. It's perfect for summer fun for families and young kids! #summeractivities #beach #freeprintable #kidsactivities #ideasforkids #preschool

This beach scavenger hunt list is perfect for toddlers, preschoolers and other young kids since it’s simple and isn’t too long.

For a bonus activity, you can have your kids color it before you head to the beach!

All you need to do is print out the free printable, laminate it (if you want to reuse and protect it) and head to the beach with your eyes peeled and a marker to check off everything you find.

If you have more than one child, you can turn it into a competitive game and see which child can check off every item first.

If you prefer everyone to stay together, you can keep it a cooperative game and have your kids group up to find all the items.

At Home Beach Scavenger Hunt Idea

For those who can’t make it to the beach (like us), make this a fun outdoor game wherever you live!

Before telling your kids about the game, find all the items on the scavenger hunt list (use a toy for the crab), then secretly scatter them in your backyard.

When you’re finished, print off a sheet for each kid, have them color the page, then tell them to go outside and find all the items on your list.

It’s a fun way to bring a little beachy-ness back to your own home.

Either way, your kids will love this activity!
