Take the head piece and place it on your surface. Then, glue the eyes just below the eyelashes, lining them up evenly on both sides.

Grab the yellow braided hair piece and glue it on top of the head.

Grab the colored patch and glue it onto the front of the dress. Let your child decide where they want to place it. There’s no right or wrong spot. Just let them have fun with it.

Use a black marker to draw short stitch lines on the patch. This gives it a sewn-on, rustic look. Your child can make little X marks, lines, or whatever they think fits.

Girl Scarecrow Craft

This girl scarecrow craft is a fun fall activity where kids can mix and match colors for her dress, hat, and braids. A sweet way to celebrate the season!

Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Black Marker
  • Girl Scarecrow Template

Instructions

  • Download the template, print it, and cut out all the pieces you need.
  • Begin by gluing the eyes onto the face, just below the eyelashes.
  • Next, glue the hair on top of the head.
  • Position the hat on top of the hair and glue it down.
  • Then, glue the bow onto the hat.
  • Place the head aside and lay the dress piece flat.
  • Glue the arm straw to the back of each sleeve.
  • Next, glue the dress straw to the back and bottom of the dress.
  • Glue the patch anywhere on the dress.
  • Use a marker to draw stitch marks on the patch.
  • Flip the dress over and glue the stick to the back.
  • Finally, glue the head onto the top of the dress to complete the scarecrow.
