Directions
Print the template and gather the materials for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this groundhog to life!

Start by grabbing your background paper and brown paint. Dip the back of a fork into the paint and stamp it across the paper to make the groundhog’s fur. Repeat until the entire groundhog outline is filled. Set it aside for a few minutes to let the paint dry.

Now look for the belly piece. Add glue to the back and place it in the center of the groundhog’s body. Press it down gently.

Next, find the eyes. Glue them onto the top portion of the groundhog’s head, just above the belly piece.

Let’s add the nose. Glue it below the eyes, on the bump portion of the belly piece. Press and hold for a moment so it sticks well.

Next, color in the mouth, then glue it under the nose. Those big groundhog teeth make it extra cute!

Time for some rosy cheeks. Look for the pink cheeks, add glue, and place one on each side of the mouth. This step always makes the groundhog look happy and friendly.

Let’s finish the body. Find the feet, add glue, and place them at the bottom of the groundhog’s body. Press them down firmly so your groundhog can stand tall.

Now it’s time to draw. Using a black marker, draw simple curved lines down each side of the belly to make arms. You can add small shapes at the ends for hands with the brown marker.

Use the same brown marker to draw small ears and eyebrows on the groundhog’s head.
