Hammerhead Shark Puppet Craft For Kids [Free Template]

Sharks are one of the most fascinating creatures in the ocean. They’re mysterious and often feared, but kids are always mesmerized by them.

This hammerhead shark puppet is the perfect way to teach kids about these amazing creatures. Not only is it fun to make, but kids can use it for pretend play and learn all about sharks while they’re at it!

This project is perfect for kids of all ages. Younger kids may need help cutting out the shapes, but they’ll be able to put the puppet together with some supervision. Older kids can likely do the whole project on their own.

Hammerhead Shark Craft

Supplies

  • Brown paper bag
  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Black marker
  • Shark template (enter your email in the form at the end of this post to have the link sent to you)

Directions

Download the shark template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.

Begin by gluing the mouth piece to the middle of the head piece.

Glue the eyes to the sides of the head.

Create the main body portion by gluing the belly to the middle of the body.

Take the tail fin and glue it to the bottom of the body.

Next, make the ocean background by gluing the blue paper to the flap and main portion of the brown paper bag.

Place the head on the flap portion of the bag and glue it in place.

Glue the body to the main portion of the bag.

Use a black marker to draw gill lines along both sides of the neck.
