This monster craft has kids create a toothy Halloween friend in their favorite colors. They’ll design a colorful monster and personalize its grin with teeth that spell their name. It’s a fun Halloween decoration to make during the holiday season.

Colored cardstock or construction paper
Scissors

Directions

Start by printing the template, then gather the materials for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this cute monster to life!

Write one letter of your child’s name on each teeth letter piece, then glue the pieces in order along the top edge of the mouth. Encourage your child to say each letter aloud as they add it for a little extra name and letter practice

Grab the tongue piece and glue it along the bottom center of the mouth.

Glue the bottom teeth across the lower part of the tongue, spacing them so they peek up inside the monster’s mouth. This is a fun chance for kids to practice lining up and placing the pieces before gluing.

Take the completed mouth and glue it onto the bottom portion of the monster’s head. Press around the edges so the mouth sits flat and lines up neatly with the head.

Grab the eye pieces and glue all three across the upper part of the monster’s head, just above the mouth and below the eyebrows. Kids can have fun watching their silly monster expression come together as each eye is added.
