Octopus Name Craft For Kids [Free Template]

One of the coolest animals in the ocean is the octopus! These super intelligent creatures that have 8 arms are even able to use tools with them! 

Since they’re so smart (probably because they have 9 brains!), we thought they’d be the perfect sea animal to help kids learn to spell their names! 

This octopus name craft is a great opportunity for kids to learn more about these amazing animals and practice letter recognition and spelling their names.

Our cute little sea creature has gathered up some special bubbles with letters on them for kids to put in the correct order. Kids could also practice writing their letters by filling in blank bubbles to spell their name. 

This fun activity will be a hit with your kids, so be sure to download the free template and dive right in.

Supplies

Directions

Start by downloading the template and printing it out. Once you have the template printed, gather the materials needed for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this sea creature to life!

First, encourage your child to glue the eyes just below each of the eyebrows.

Next, guide your child to take the octopus and glue it to a blue piece of 8.5″x11″ paper.

Now, use the bubble letters to spell out the child’s name below the octopus.

Finally, help your child to draw wave lines on the background piece of paper.

Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors

  • Octopus template

Instructions

  1. Download the octopus template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
