Cat Scarecrow Paper Craft

This project is a fantastic opportunity for kids to develop their fine motor skills and let their creativity run wild as they design, cut, and paste their scarecrow cat.
Grab the scissors, glue, and some colorful paper to use along with the free template to get your kiddos started. It’s an easy way to bring a bit of fall fun into your home or classroom!
Supplies
- Black marker
- Colored cardstock or construction paper
- Glue stick
- Scissors
- Scarecrow cat template (unlock the free template at the end of the post)
Directions
Start by downloading the template and printing it out. Once you have the template printed, gather the materials needed for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this scarecrow cat to life!
First, guide your child to glue the mouth and nose piece to the bottom of the face.
Next, glue the eyes below the eyebrows.
Position the scarecrow hat on top of the head and glue it in place.
Now, glue the hat patch to the center of the hat.
Draw the stitching lines around each edge with a marker.
Glue the arm straw to the back of both sides of the shirt.
Place the leg straw on the bottom and back of the pants and glue in place.
Next, help your child glue the shirt patch to the center of the shirt.
Once again draw the stitching lines around each edge with a marker.
Glue the shirt to the body of the scarecrow cat.
Finally, encourage your child to glue the tail to the back and left side of the body.
