Supplies

Directions

Start by downloading the bunny template and printing it out. Once you have the template printed, gather the materials needed for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this sunflower to life!

Hands holding a printed sunflower craft template sheet with labeled cutout shapes for petals, leaves, and flower centers, placed on a white surface with pink heart-patterned fabric in the background.

Take the brown paper flower paper piece and fold it along the middle line. This will form the card base. The shape is designed to look like a flower wrap in brown paper once folded.

Now it’s time to build the sunflowers. Grab the yellow (or orange) petals and glue the brown ovals in the center of each one.

Go ahead and line up the flowers side by side. Then, help your child glue the green leaves behind each flower to complete the sunflower look.

Have your child glue the sunflowers side by side, slightly overlapping them to form a bouquet shape. Make sure the leaves peek out behind each flower for that classic sunflower look.

Now that the flowers are ready help your child glue the whole bouquet onto the top part of the folded flower pot.

Cut a short strip of pink ribbon and help your child glue it across the front of the flower pot This little detail makes it look like the flowers are tied together!

Take another piece of pink ribbon and show your child how to tie it into a small bow. This will go right on top of the strip to make the bouquet look extra special.

Once the bow is tied, help your child glue it right on top of the ribbon strip. It adds such a cute finishing touch and makes the bouquet look gift-ready! We like to use a glue dot here because it doesn’t need any time to dry.

Now that the bow is in place use scissors to trim the ends of the ribbon carefully.
