Butterfly Paper Craft For Mom

Supplies
- Colored cardstock or construction paper
- Scissors
- Glue
- Butterfly template (click the “click here to get this freebie” image at the end to open the form)
Directions
Start by downloading the butterfly template and printing it out. Once you have the template printed, gather the materials needed for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this butterfly to life!
First, encourage your child to take the middle upper wing and glue it to the back upper piece of both wings.
Next, place the front upper wing on top of the middle upper wing and secure it in place with glue.
Now, position the middle lower wing piece to the middle part of the back lower wing and glue them securely in place.
Next, help your child attach the front lower wing in the middle of the middle lower wing using glue.
Show your child how to place the eyes below the eyebrows and glue them in place.
Take the antennae and glue them to the top and back of the butterfly’s head.
Attach the upper wings to the upper part and back of the butterfly’s body.
Next, glue the lower wings to the lower part and back of the butterfly’s body.
Finally, position the completed butterfly in the middle part of the background paper and secure it with glue.
