Ripped Paper Dinosaur Craft
Tearing paper might seem simple, but it helps strengthen little fingers, boosts hand-eye coordination, and improves bilateral hand coordination as they create something unique.
To kick things off, download our free dinosaur template, grab some paper scraps, and some glue. Then, let the tearing and creating begin! This easy setup will make craft time a breeze for you, and the kids will enjoy their time creating.
Supplies
- Colored cardstock or construction paper
- Scissors
- Glue stick
- Black marker

Directions
Start by downloading and printing the template. Once the template is printed, gather the materials for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this dinosaur to life!
First, guide your child to spread the glue on the dinosaur’s body.
Next, help your child tear the paper into small pieces, then glue them onto the dinosaur’s body.
Glue the back spot onto the back of the brontosaurus.
Place the underside of the neck piece along the front underside of the dinosaur’s body and neck, and glue it down.
Position the eye onto the dinosaur’s head and glue it in place.
Now, draw the eyebrow above the eye.
Finally, encourage your child to draw the mouth below the eye.
