Disguise A Turkey As A Cupcake

This activity is a fantastic way to bring the family together. It’s an opportunity for kids to think creatively, use essential skills like cutting and gluing, and enjoy some quality time with loved ones. The end result is a cute and clever turkey that’s perfectly disguised as a sweet cupcake.
Get the kids started customizing their cupcake turkey disguises by gathering up a few simple supplies along with our free template.
Supplies
- Colored cardstock or construction paper
- Glue stick
- Scissors
- Turkey cupcake template (unlock the free template at the end of the post)
Directions
Start by downloading the template and printing it out. Once you have the template printed, gather the materials needed for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this turkey to life!
First, guide your child to glue the eyes below the eyebrows.
Next, glue the snood just below the eyes, on one side of the face.
Position the beak at the bottom and center of the eyes and glue it in place, on top of the snood.
Now, glue the icing to the top portion of the head.
Cut out small pieces of paper and glue the sprinkles around the icing body part of the turkey cupcake. Alternatively, use markers to draw on the sprinkles.
Position the head on top of the body icing and glue it in place.
Take the cupcake wrapper and glue it to the bottom portion of the body icing piece.
Next, help your child glue the wings to the side of the wrapper.
Place the feet on the bottom portion of the wrapper and glue them in place.
Now, glue the cherry on the top of the icing.
Finally, encourage your child to glue the stem to the back and top of the cherry.
