Directions

Start by downloading and printing the template. Once the template is printed, gather the materials for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this walrus to life!

First, guide your child to glue the eyes below the eyebrows.

Next, help your child to glue the tusks to the back and bottom portion of the mouth.

Glue the mouth below the eyes.

Position the front flippers at the bottom of the paper cup, one on each side, and glue them in place so the bottom of the flipper hangs off the paper cup a little.

Now, glue the head to the top portion of the paper cup. We like to use a glue dot so there’s no drying time.

Finally, encourage your child to glue the back flippers to the back and side of paper cup.

Walrus Paper Cup Craft

This walrus paper cup craft is a fun way to reduce screen time with the kids this winter!

Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Glue stick
  • Scissors
  • Paper cup
  • Walrus template

Instructions

  1. Download the walrus template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
  2. Begin by positioning the paper cup with the rim facing down.
  3. Glue the eyes below the eyebrows.
  4. Next, glue the tusks to the back and bottom portion of the mouth.
  5. Glue the mouth below the eyes.
  6. Position the front flippers at the bottom of the cup with a small part of the flippers hanging off the edge. Glue them in place.
  7. Now, glue the head to the top portion of the paper cup.
  8. Finish off by gluing the back flippers to the back and side of paper cup.
