Supplies

  • Paper Plate
  • Paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick
  • Pencil
  • Embelishments like stickers or glitter glue (optional)
  • Winter hat template (enter your email in the form at the end of this post to have the link sent to you)

Directions

Download the winter hat template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.

Paint a paper plate in 1-2 thin coats of paint. Let it dry completely before moving on.

Place the hat template on the paper plate, trace, and cut it out.

Take the hat band and glue it to the base of the hat.

Next, glue the hat decoration in the middle of the hat base.

Optionally: Use scissors to cut small slits all around the hat pom to make it look fringed.

Glue the pom to the top and middle of the hat.

Finish off the hat by adding any embellishments your child wants with things such as stickers or glitter glue.
