Easy Cow Paper Craft

Supplies
- Colored cardstock or construction paper (in pink, tan, white, brown or black)
- Scissors
- Glue stick
- Markers (optional)
- Cow craft template (download form located at the end of this post)
Directions
Download the cow craft template, print, and cut out the pieces.

Glue the wavy cow spot piece somewhere on the top of the cow’s head. Use scissors to trim off any excess paper.

Glue the nose/mouth area onto the bottom of the cow’s head. Glue the cheeks just under the nostril holes or use a marker to color them in.

Place the eyes just above the nose/mouth area and glue in place. Optional: Use a black or brown marker to outline the eyes to help them stand out.

Make the cow’s ears by gluing the pink inner ear to the brown outer ear. Take the completed ears and glue to the back of the cow’s head, just above the top of the eyes.

Glue the cow’s horns on the back of the cow’s head, in between the ears.

Make the body by gluing the spots around the body base, then trim off the excess with scissors. Glue the cow’s head to the front, top of the body.

Can you believe how simple and cute this little cow is?
It’s a fun cut-and-paste style craft or craftivity that’s great for little ones with shorter attention spans.

Farm Animal Preschool Units
We get several emails a month from readers who want to know if we have any other related activities to make crafts fit in a preschool unit.
Luckily, we normally do!
This cow craft fits perfectly in a farm animal preschool unit. Here’s how you might put together a week-long unit about farm animals:

We generally like to start off with some fun books from the library or Amazon. This post has all of our favorite farm animal books that kids will love. Check it out and see if you have any at home or if you can pick some up from your local library.
After reading a few books, try this farm themed small world play. It’s easy to set up plus it’s great for creativity and independent play.
To add in some structured learning time, we recommend these farm animal printables.
They’re great for helping children work on letter recognition, counting, fine motor skills, and more!

We also have these farm animal coloring pages that are great when you need a no-prep activity for the kids.
Add in this craft and any of our other farm animal crafts, and you’ll have an awesome week learning and having fun!
