How To Make A Groundhog Puppet
Begin by downloading the groundhog template. Once it’s downloaded, go ahead and print it out. Now before the kids can start making the groundhog, they’ll need to cut out the pieces that they will be using.

Start by having your kids glue the head to the flap portion of the paper bag. Next up, we’re going to give our groundhog some eyes! Help them glue the eyes just above the nose.

Let’s not forget those cute ears! Assist your kids in positioning the inner ears in the middle of the outer ears and gluing them in place.

Have the kids glue the teeth just below the mouth line.

It’s time to give the little groundhog its body! Help your kids glue the groundhog body onto the remaining portion of the brown paper bag.

Finally, let’s complete the groundhog! Help your kids to position the belly in the middle of the body and glue it in place. Then, have them stick the arms at the top of the body. And there we have it – their very own groundhog puppet is ready for action!

Now your child has a fun paper bag groundhog puppet they can play with and enjoy! Be sure to check out our other paper bag crafts for your kids while you’re here!
