Patriotic Bird Craft
This little bird is all dressed up for Independence Day, and kids will love helping bring it to life! They’ll create a cheerful blue bird with bright wings and a festive hat using simple supplies like colored paper, scissors, and glue.

Supplies
- Colored cardstock or construction paper
- Scissors
- Glue

Directions
Start by downloading and printing the template. Once the template is printed, gather the materials for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this patriotic bird to life!

Take the blue bird body and glue the eye on the head, just below the eyebrow.

Next, glue the yellow beak right below the eye, so that the left half is hanging off the bird’s head.

Take the red wing and glue it to the middle of the bird’s body. This gives your bird a bold pop of color!

Glue the pink cheek under the eye. This simple detail makes your bird look adorable!

Now take the red tail piece and glue it to the back end of the bird.

Glue the yellow feet to the bottom of the body. The right foot should be glued to the front of the body, and the left foot should be glued to the back of the body.

Finish by coloring in the patriotic hat and gluing it on top of the head. The red, white, and blue stars give it that perfect 4th of July flair.

Materials
- Colored cardstock or construction paper
- Scissors
- Glue
- Patriotic Bird Template
Instructions
- Download the template, print it, and cut out the pieces you need.
- Begin by gluing the eye on the bird's head, just below the eyebrow.
- Next, glue the beak right below the eye.
- Then, attach the wing to the center of the body.
- Glue the cheek under the eye.
- Next, glue the tail to the back of the body.
- After that, attach the feet to the bottom of the body. The right foot should be glued to the front of the body and the left foot should be glued to the back of the body.
- Finish by colorin in the hat and gluing it to the top of the bird’s head.
